A classic indoor nativity scene is highlighted by harmonious lighting and is also surrounded by Christmas trees. Note the décor evoking Palestine at the back of the nativity scene and, in the niche on the left, the harvest tools. A historical detail: when Alsace was annexed by the Third Reich, the little African boy’s money box was put away in a cupboard… To round off the visit, the choir features stained-glass windows from the mid-14th century: on the left, the childhood and baptism of Jesus; on the right, the glorious life of Christ and Pentecost; and in the ante-choir, 15th-century murals.
In front of the church: A beautiful, traditional nativity scene, complete with a choir and Christmas trees in the background: it is entirely crafted by Bernard Meyer and a team of volunteers, experts in woodwork and painting, who add new figurines to it every year. At night, the nativity scene is even more beautiful, highlighted by the illuminations
